Silver Search is recruiting on behalf of a renowned reconstructive plastic surgeon for an experienced and polished Medical Receptionist to join their specialist practice on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a medical receptionist looking to work within a highly regarded surgical practice where patient care, professionalism and attention to detail are genuinely valued.

The Role

Working closely with the surgeon and practice team, you will be responsible for providing a high level of patient care while ensuring the smooth running of the practice.

Key responsibilities include:

• Welcoming patients and providing a warm, professional reception experience
• Managing a busy appointment diary
• Answering patient enquiries by phone and email
• Managing bookings, referrals and patient correspondence
• Processing payments, invoicing and Medicare claims
• Coordinating surgical and procedure bookings
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Liaising with hospitals, patients and other healthcare providers
• Providing general administrative support to the surgeon and practice

About You - We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in medical reception or specialist medical administration
• Confident using Genie or similar
• Professional, warm and genuinely patient-focused
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Confident managing a busy workload and competing priorities
• An excellent communicator with a calm and caring manner
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently
• Well presented and comfortable working in a specialist surgical environment
