Silver Search is representing a highly regarded specialist medical practice seeking an experienced Practice & Business Manager to take responsibility for the strategic, operational and commercial management of the practice.
Working closely with the Principal Physician, this is a broad and influential role encompassing business operations, financial management, people leadership, practice performance, governance and stakeholder relationships.

About the Role You will have responsibility for the overall management and performance of the practice, including:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across the practice
- Work closely with the Principal Physician on business strategy, planning and performance
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring an efficient practice and exceptional patient experience
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, systems and business continuity processes
- Oversee financial management, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll coordination and revenue reporting
- Oversee Medicare and private health billing, including reconciliation and financial reporting
- Build and maintain strong relationships with GPs, specialists, hospitals and allied health providers
- Coordinate theatre bookings and complex clinician schedules
- Lead workforce management, including recruitment, onboarding, rostering, training and performance management
- Develop and maintain a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, professionalism and patient care
- Drive clinical governance, risk management and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with WHS, confidentiality, privacy and relevant clinical standards
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, efficiency and overall business performance
We are looking for a commercially minded and highly capable manager who is comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level, with a strong understanding of the specialist healthcare environment.
You will ideally bring:
- Experience managing a specialist medical practice, healthcare business or similar
- Strong financial and commercial understanding
- Experience with Medicare and private health billing, or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing a team
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach to systems, processes and continuous improvement
- The confidence to work closely with a Principal Physician and take ownership of the business
- A high level of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail
