As the first point of contact for patients, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice. Your ability to provide outstanding customer service while managing a busy reception will be highly valued.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients and providing exceptional customer service
- Managing appointments and specialist consulting schedules
- Answering and directing telephone enquiries
- Processing patient billing, EFTPOS and Medicare claims
- Managing patient records and maintaining confidentiality
- Liaising with referring doctors, hospitals and allied health professionals
- General administrative and reception duties
- Supporting the Specialist Physician and clinical team as required
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, ideally within a specialist medical practice
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and specialist practice procedures
- Experience using medical practice software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to multitask
- A professional, compassionate and patient-focused approach
- High attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
